CONDUCTING THE "CONTEMPORARY URBAN BEATS ENSEMBLE" AT THE 200th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE „UNIVERSITY OF MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS VIENNA“
On Saturday 8 April 2017 TivoliVredenburg and North Sea Jazz present the second edition of Transition Festival in Utrecht.
Ben van Gelder and Reiner Baas performed two concerts with the Metropole Orchestra in January 2016. This collaboration turned out to work so well that it was decided to once again share the stage. The repertoire includes works by both Baas and van Gelder and promises to be surprising and varied in terms of both music and the orchestral line-up. Gerd Hermann Ortler also wrote some new arrangements of Ben's music for this concert.
