Work Description (English)

“I stare at a behemoth cuckoo clock. Then I open the door, go inside and lock myself in: As the guts of the clock start to move, it clinks, clanks, grinds and rings as it pokes over my head. The mechanism sets off in motion, the intricate gears turn perfectly together until they suddenly lock in place, creating an unimaginable outcome. And floating high above, over all of this is the cuckoo. Who continues to blink, in a most deceitful sort of way.”

WORK DESCRIPTION (GERMAN)

“Ich starre auf eine hochhausgroße Kuckucksuhr. Ich gehe hinein, schließe mich in ihr ein: Die Eingeweide der Uhr beginnen sich zu bewegen, es klickt, knackt, klingelt und pocht über meinem Kopf. Der Mechanismus setzt sich in Gang, die verworrenen Zahnräder greifen ineinander und lösen Ungeglaubtes am anderen Ende der Kette aus. Und über all dem schwebt der Kuckuck, der immer wieder listig hervorblinzelt.”
