It was quite an euphoric experience to record Gerd Hermann Ortler’s composition PASSION with total solidarity at night in the Albertina Museum surrounded by the art of Gottfried Helnwein!

CUCKOO CLOCK
Gerd Hermann Ortler’s new composition “CUCKOO CLOCK - for Percussion Ensemble (2019)” will be premiered by the “conTakt percussion group” at the Kulturhaus Schlanders - Italy (3th of November 2019). This composition was commissioned by the South Tyrolean Artists Association and will be recorded and released on CD.

Gerd Hermann Ortler had the honour to compose and conduct this piece, performed by world class musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic / Wiener Philharmoniker and the Staatsopernorchester at the Vienna Opera Ball. The organizer, Mrs. Maria Großbauer, presented it to Mr. Dominique Meyer, director of the Vienna State Opera.
